Hanyang SDGs Essay/Presentation Competition

안녕하세요, 국제학부 정치경제학회 Lyceum입니다.

국제학부 민병철 특훈 교수님의 후원을 받아 총 상금 140만원의 규모로 국제학부 주최, Lyceum주관의 첫 영어 에세이/프레젠테이션 대회를 열게 되었습니다. 특히 이번 주제는 항상 학내에서 뜨거운 감자였던 '영어특기자 전형'의 공평성과 개선방안에 대한것으로, 평소 해당 주제에 관심이 있었던 학우 여러분들의 많은 참여 부탁드립니다. 더불어, 저희 Lyceum은 UN의 지속가능한 개발 목표인 SDGs에 관련된 현재 이슈를 정치, 경제적 관점에서 바라보고 토론하는 학회로 이번 주제 또한 SDGs 4번 Quality Education의 세부 목표인 4.3번 고등, 직업교육의 평등과 관련이 있습니다. 자세한 사항은 아래와 같습니다.

주제: '영어 특기자전형'의 형평성

일정: 9/16~30 접수 > 접수확인 이메일 > ~11/1 에세이 제출(접수팀 모두) > 11/15 프레젠테이션 (본선 진출 4팀)

지원자격: 1~3인의 한양대학교 학생 (재,휴학 모두 포함)

특전: 1등 60만원 (1팀), 2등 40만원 (2팀), 3등 20만원 (2팀) + 국제학부 총장 명의 상장

9월 30일까지 https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1pJ1U1Ibb02hFRPAMzKqHpoDaUub-Of7B4p7ORtmkZX4 로 접수폼을 제출 해 주시면 확인 이메일을 보내드립니다. 이후 11월 1일 자정까지 2500단어 (±500단어)의 에세이를 워드 포맷으로 제출 해 주시면 국제학부 교수님 3인의 심사를 거쳐 11월 8일 전후로 결과를 안내드립니다. 본선 진출 네 팀은 15분의 발표와 15분 질의응답 (답변 미흡시 심사 반영)를 준비해주시면 됩니다.

Hello, this is Lyceum, Division of International Study's Politics and Economics Society.

We are glad to inform you about an English essay/presentation competition coming this November. Winners will be awarded with a total of 1.4m KRW on top of the DIS dean's certificate of award. The topic is related to goal 4.3 of the UN's Sustainable Development Goals; by 2030, ensure equal access for all women and men to affordable and quality technical, vocational and tertiary education, including university. Dates: 9/16~30 Application > Confirmation Email Recieved > ~11/1 Essay Submission (All teams) > 11/15 Presentation (four teams)

Teams: 1~3 Hanyang University students (including exchange students)

Prize: 600k KRW (1st), 400k KRW (2nd), 200k KRW (3rd, two teams)

You will recieve a confirmation email if we recieve your application through the google form. Then you will need to submit an essay before November 1st, midnight. (23:59:59). Selected four teams will present on the 15th, when all teams will recieve the result around November 8th. The presentation is 15 minutes followed by a 15 minutes question session. If the team fails to provide sufficient answer, the judges (professors from DIS) will reflect upon the final result.
